March 11th Zeftron’s Marketing Specialist, Richard Radke, presented at the GAIDP (Georgia Alliance of Interior Design Professionals) newest seminar Green-Up!, at the AmericasMart in Atlanta. In 2015 they introduced the new topic, which focuses on Sustainability and LEED in our industry. The event features CEU presentations by some of Georgia’s leading authorities on Sustainability and LEED.
These seminars provide Interior Designers, Architects, and other design professionals with specific knowledge and the chance to earn 5 credit hours, of HSW/HSW LU education. There were 5 CEU presentations chosen for the event. Richard presented “Carpet Recycling Initiatives: Environmental Initiatives” for the group of knowledge and credit seekers Friday afternoon. The audience was very attentive and had some great questions.
The main learning objective for this CEU presentation is that carpet reclamation should be written into specs. Diverting carpet from the landfill saves landfill space and natural resources as well. As a premium commercial carpet nylon, Zeftron nylon has long been at the forefront of environmental responsibility. The heart of Zeftron’s sustainability starts with its composition. Unlike some other commercial carpet nylon, Zeftron nylon is a fully renewable type 6 nylon.
